Update: new Export options in Viewer

Hello Everyone,

The MedRez.net Scheduling Tool has been updated. The focus of the update is exporting data from the Schedule Viewer. To access either of the new features below, click the "Export" button at the top of a Schedule.

Download Tally Totals

You can now download a CSV (comma-separated values) file containing Tally Totals for both Annual Rotation Schedules and Call/Shift Schedules. Almost any spreadsheet application can open CSVs, and it should be easy to integrate into a written report as well.

Make sure you have enabled the publication of Call/Shift or Rotation Tallies in your schedule's publishing settings to take advantage of this capability.

View and Download list of Requests

You can now download a list of each Resident's Requests for time off for each Schedule for both Annual Rotation Schedules and Call/Shift Schedules.

Note that in the case of Annual Rotations Schedules, this Spring's update had removed the ability to view Requests for Rotation Schedules. This capability has now been restored.

Make sure you have opted to publish Requests with your Schedules. To do so, login to the Scheduling Tool as a schedule editor, click the icon at the top with the little people, then click on the "Settings" tab. Change the setting in the box titled "Day-off and Vacation Requests Publishing Options".

Hello,

I'm trying to perform the export to CSV, but Im having some difficulty despite otherwise outstanding application.

I click on the "Expand" that shows each resident, number of shifts and the ability to click on "Show totals for the year". The total for the year displays, each shift, etc,, but I don't see any mention of exporting when I view the Tally Totals.

The only option available to export is the "Export to PDF" on the block schedule. Is there something I'm missing? We publish our schedule but I don't see any mention of tally totals there or within the publishing settings.

Hi Nevin,

There is a setting in each Call/shift schedule that determines whether Tally results are visible with the published schedule or not. If they are not visible, then naturally they can not be exported wither.

To make Tallies visible please follow these steps:

- log in to the Scheduling Tool.

- click "Edit" next to the relevant schedule

- click the "Settings" tab for that Schedule.

- change the publishing settings for that schedule so that it reads "Display Tally Results: yes"

Hi IntMed,

There is a "Schedule Maker's Guide" which covers general topics, available from the main page of your account by clicking the yellow "Guide" tab at the top of the page. It has printable versions of each page.

Each page of the scheduling tool is equipped with either a link to the reference manual detailing all the features available on that page (it's accessible via the question mark at the top of the page), or in-app help (the question marks next to each input box).

If you have any specific question on how to do something please do not hesitate to ask.

Hello,

Great product ! We have two suggestions/requests:

It would be great if the Tally Total export function for both annual rotation and Call/shift schedules were to include the tally "for previous years" (or make it an option) something similar to what you already provide when setting the schedule up. Currently you can only export tallies for that year.

Also, we find the "show totals for the year" option very helpful when looking at tallies. It would save time if the website were to remember the settings once you check that option box. Currently , you have to select each tally one by one and reactivate it every time you visit the website.

Thank-you for the comments. Yes it's true it would be nicer if the system remembered when you show tally results for the year. Thank-you for pointing that out.

StamfordHospital: Schedules are exported to ICS or PDF format, which are well suited for schedule data. Spreadsheets don't naturally format well for schedules, therefore this option is not available.

Great job to start

two features I would like to see if you are considering:

1. an annal continuous schedule that one can subscribe to instead of monthly downloads.

2. a way to get a list of people by just one pod/location/shift area ideally that one can subscribe to as well (easier to post who's expected in a given pod/location at a given time)
