Mandatory number of shifts

Hello,

I am trying to find a way to get medrez to ideally assign PGY-1s 20 days in a 28 day period, PGY-2s 19 days in a 28 day period, and PGY-3s 18 days in a 28 day period. I cannot find any way to assign that in the set rules. All I can see is an average off per week which is hard set to whole numbers. Does medrez have this capability somewhere? Currently it seems to give each year the same number of shifts. It would be acceptable for each PGY year to end up with less than what I specified above (meaning we didn't have enough shifts to get filled) but not acceptable for them to end up with more.

I see there is a tally target you can assign each PGY. Does the randomizer try to hit those targets or is it entirely unrelated?

Yes the key feature to use is Shift and Call Tallies. The Randomizer will try to hit your Tally Targets. You can read more about setting up Tallies and Tally Targets here:
