How to ensure minimum shift requirements?

Is there a way to assign a total fixed number of shifts for each resident? I'd like to have the scheduler to assign 20 total shifts per senior and 22 total shifts per intern. I still want to use the tallys to determine shift types, but have them all add up to a required number. For example: Resident A needs 20 shifts. I would put in tallys for 5-7 days and 7-8 nights and 6-8 afternoons. Then the system would assign shift per my tallys but also make sure that the resident has been assigned 20 shifts.

Yes, the way to do this is to create an additional Tally that includes all shifts, and set the Targets for that Tally to 20 or 22. The Randomizer will do its best to meet the Targets of all Tallies simultaneously.

Where is it that you set the tally?

Hi DetroitEM,

You can create Tallies in the Shifts and Calls tab (click the "tools menu" at the top of the left-hand box).

Tally Targets are set in the stats table in the Schedule tab.
