By now you may have heard of the "heartbleed" bug that affected many servers across the internet.
The MedRez.net server itself was not affected by the heartbleed bug. Our version of the affected software predates this bug.
While our server was not affected our payment processor, Braintree Payment Solutions was. They reacted immediately and patched their servers to fix the bug. In turn MedRez.net's API keys for Braintree were regenerated to ensure that this bug could not have an effect in the future. (In layman's terms we changed the locks.) What should you do?
While MedRez.net's server was not affected and Braintree Payment Solutions reacted very quickly to fix the problem, this bug affects many servers on the internet and the extent of the damage is not known. Using strong, unique passwords on all sites, and changing them on occasion is always a good idea.
