Our residents log in to make requests using a universal password. Is there a way to assign separate passwords for each resident so that one resident cannot adjust another resident's time off request? Because of the public nature of the time off request system, our department requires paper signatures on the time off requests.

    Hello Jesse,

    Thanks for the feedback.

I've thought about doing this, but there's actually quite a bit of overhead involved. You'd have to prove that the individual resident accounts match the resident they claim to be. And then a bunch will forget their password, locking them out of their schedules, etc... And finally, since it's common for MedRez.net to be open on shared computers someone might still accidentally create a request in the wrong account.

For the time being I'm not convinced the gains justify the additional complexity.

What about putting in an electronic signature field? Something that gives some degree of credibility / responsibility for time off requests?

        Hello Jesse,

Thank-you for the suggestion. That might be a way to go, although I am not sure an electronic signature without credentials really replaces a paper signature.

        I'll keep thinking about it.
